The Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) is launching the National Essay Challenge for graduate students in Canadian universities to promote innovative policy relevant research. The Challenge is designed to generate fresh evidence-based insights on IRCC policies and evidence gaps. It also supports partnership opportunities with research institutions and IRCC’s talent recruitment efforts.
The Challenge welcomes empirical research papers or evidence-based policy papers on topics related to IRCC’s mandate. Up to six applicants will be invited to present their papers at the International Metropolis Conference 2019 and at IRCC’s Research Matters Event series in June 2019.
